Well, I hope you enjoyed the holiday season as much as I did! =)
Here’s a post I wrote a while ago that I have been too busy to publish:
Have you ever accidentally had shampoo in your eyes when washing your hair? Most of us have at some time or another. It’s not a nice experience and your eyes probably stung for a while and might have been irritated and red. The reason for this is that so many everyday skin and hair care products contain harsh chemicals.
If you don’t want to use these chemicals on your skin or hair, the best thing to do might be to have a look at some organic skin care products. There are some things to consider before making for choice. Your skin will absorb whatever it is surrounded by, whether this is chemicals or other irritants. Do you really want to spend all day in a polluted environment and then apply even more chemicals in the form of a skin cream at night?
It is important to think about using organic skin care products because they don’t contain harmful chemicals such as unnecessary colorants. Do you really care if your skin care cream is white or pale green? Your skin absorbs these colorant chemicals and more, such as artificial perfumes and filler ingredients. These chemicals don’t evaporate or rub off. So what should you bear in mind when looking for organic skin care products?
You should get 100% certified organic skin care products. This guarantees that they are free of harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients. If they are not certified as being 100% organic, they will probably still contain traces of chemicals which will irritate your skin. Organic skin care is very important if you are taking care of your facial skin, which is usually a lot more sensitive than body skin.
Many cases of itching, stinging, redness, flaking and dryness on the face are caused by chemical-filled products. This is why opting for organic skin care for your face is such a wise choice.
A lot of studies have demonstrated that there are toxic, and sometimes carcinogenic, additives in a lot of skin care products and make up. You won’t find such harsh ingredients in organic products, so why not try these organic products and see how much healthier your skin looks and feels?
Organic skin care lines usually have cleansers and moisturizers. The cleansers won’t contain perfumes, dyes or any other harsh additives that dry your skin out and strip away the natural oils. Moisturizers usually contain only natural oils made from vegetables, fruits and vitamins.
Some people do quite well with regular skin care products and don’t seem to experience allergic reactions or breakouts. But for those people who are worried about a chemical build up in their system or who have sensitive skin, it is good to know that there are many lines of cosmetics, which are now being certified organic, to choose from.
It isn’t difficult to find organic skin care products. A lot are just as available and just as affordable as any other skin care products on the market.
